Common Common meeting and Ownership areas 15 hours:

Every second week on Tuesday we have a Common Common meeting about different issues and we are discussing about our ownership areas and their development. Each Thursday evening we have ownership area meeting where we discuss and make new plans for the rest of the week.

Unit Coordination group

2012 team joined to the Ownership areas and started to work in small groups together with other teams. In our group the first step was to understand who are we working with. Unit coordination group supposed to organize all kind of events for the different heart chambers and DNS.

We decided our goal for this meeting is to organize meeting with teachers who are teaching here, and make a big calendar. The big calendar is done by Romas who already had the same idea,so we can put all the morning assemblys,meetings,presentations etc. Into this calendar.

What kind of programs can we make for them etc.

New ideas:

·         Thirsday activity for Villas:

-In creativity center,some DNSer not so many

-Two kind of activity( eg.:origami and movie)

-Some DNSer who are known in Villas and 2-3 who are not

-In this way day the studenst starts to have contact with other DNSers,

 but not like a bunch of new people are coming to their life

·         Tuesday cafe rota each team

Next challenges:

          - Harvest potatoes; (Tvind) find or construct storage facility, specially from 2013 on we might not be able to use the stone-house anymore

          - Harvest other crop;

          - Take of caterpillars from cabbages;

          - GARDEN FARMING promotion;Recycling/compost;(Marcel2010) and

              Cooperation with kitchen.

          - Accounting list of harvested and consumed crop;

          - Take care of DNS Common Hall garden; Herbal Garden(Andrea)(?)

          - Follow the quality of gardens, plant beds and other garden products;

          - Make GARDEN MAP; (Uldis)

          - set up min. one more compost box

          - create “personal” plots for farming and small gardens?

          -collect rainwater for irrgation

Conclusion:

We are as teacher students have to learn how to organize people,how to work together,be responsible for a small project,feel this thing is your own and you want to develop it. Ownership areas are the perfect solution to run a school and be prepared for being a creative teacher.
